TESTING OBSTACLES

My Master's project, Designed Obstacles, went through multiple rounds of design iteration before I made it to the final design phase.

 

One of the most enjoyable aspects of development was testing the prototype.  I set up a trial which included a novice traceur, a competitive parkour enthusiast, and a Ninja Warrior contestant ( I think he made it through Stage II)

 

They were given free reign on the equipment for two hours and were provided with tape and markers to track their feedback. I also recorded the whole experience and asked them to verbalize their thoughts when they could.  

 

The experience was helpful in both confirming the feasibility of the design and in providing user feedback that was rolled into the final product system.
