WIZARD PONG

In spring 2016 I came across a small website selling a "Wizard Pong Set".  While the set itself was cheaply made (3 metal rings on 3 small unstable bases), the underlying idea was pretty intriguing to me.

I liked that they had added some "House Rules" that modified the game with "spells" and there was a risk/ reward system for shooting through the rings.

Using this a starting point, I began developing my own, much more robust, wizard pong game and play set.  About 1 month later the game was ready to play.

This project is packed with small nods to the source material.

Some of the highlights include:

- A storage box that doubles as the mounting system for the rings.

- Custom 3D printed mounting brackets for the rings, designed to fit an off the shelf embroidery hoop.

- Custom designed "Spell Cards" for each house.

- 3D printed beater bats.

- A revised rule system based on around which allows gameplay to more accurately reflect Quidditch gameplay and scoring.
